Dusting off the Paints…

It’s been ever so long since I last managed to put paint on a model – in fact I think it was about the time of the tournaments here last year, which pushed it back a way. But I have finally done it! I have dusted off the paints and managed to get some models done!

 

 

Well, there you go, I’ll probably pack them away now and not get them out for the next six months… but at least I got a few things finished!

Giant Stompy Robots Strike Back

We have previously seen the giant stompy robots released for the Prussians, Empire of the Blazing Sun and the Covenant of Antarctica (Peter even did an unboxing).

Now we see what Spartan have been working on – the giant stompy robots for the FSA and KoB! Boy – has it been worth the wait! These sculpts look fantastic!

Ok – so the FSA one is a skimmer, and has the potential to carry a gigantic rocket powered hammer. This sculpt is pretty darn spectacular.

Wow, ok, so this is Howl’s Moving Castle in a world where Howl loves nothing more than gigantic howitzers. This is a strange beast of a machine, but probably my favourite so far!

I absolutely cannot wait to see what the French and Russians have in their arsenals.

The Marina Militare

Una flotta quasi bella come è veloce.  La flotta italiana è che una miscela di tecnologia superiore e veloci navi.

For those of you that can’t speak Italian (yes that includes me), what I said about is “A fleet almost as beautiful as it is fast.  The Italian Fleet is a mixture of superior technology and fast ships.”

The biggest ship of the fleet is the Affondatore, Battle Carrier.

Next is the Mars Battleship.

The Gladius is a Light Cruiser with an MV of 10″

The Frigates are called Cinquedea; they have Elusive and Small Target MARs.

A Medium, Low Level Flyer is the Fortuna Torpedo Bomber.

The Fortuna’s larger cousin is the Hasta Heavy Bomber.

Bombers and Corvettes join the fleet…

Since tasting sweet success with my last painting challenge, and rather liking the look of a painted fleet for once, I have continued with my efforts.

This week I have managed to finish off a Squadron of Bombers, and two Squadrons of Thales Corvettes (well, nearly two, I seem to have lost a single Thales somewhere).

In any case – here they are, in all their state of completion…
