Alistair Currie of the Brisbane City Crusaders Facebook page has been kind enough to provide pictures of some of the Planetfall Helixes just as he cracked them open.
As a Terran player I can’t support his radical and obviously misguided association with this force but I am nothing but fair (if I do say so myself) 🙂
First up, the Rense System Navy Allied Assault Helix
Next the Dindrenzi Federation Aerial Interceptor Helix (Boo..Hiss…)
and finally the Dindrenzi Federation Recon Assault Helix
Why someone would willingly assist these corrupt forces is beyond me but I’m not a judging person.
Hopefully Alistair will bring some of these to the table this weekend.
If you have some unboxing pictures you’d like to post, please drop us an email or leave a post on the Element 270 Facebook page.
This month new releases have been announced for Halo – the long awaited giant ships!
These ships look exactly what it says on the tin – massive. The rules for how such massive ships function are already built into the rules book – and they should be a lot of fun!
In Planetfall news we have a Ground Command Helix for each of the 6 core nations, and these comes with some beastly models! Have a close look for infantry manning guns left and right – I’m not sure life expectancy would be high among those crew!
The Terran Alliance – the bastion of decent and law abiding citizens in the Firestorm Universe – now have their second Aerial helix in the form of interceptors.
Today’s unboxing video opens the Aerial Interceptor Helix for the Terran Alliance.
Players of Firestorm Armada will notice they are almost direct copies of the SRS tokens found in that game (in fact, I’ve included pictures of those tokens with the models in the video).
Hope you enjoy the video.
Well, they are finally here: we have sightings of the Core Factions aerial helixes, and damn do they look pretty!
Before we get to the pictures, just letting everyone know I filched these from the Spartan Games forums, uploaded by chrisbburn. So thanks! 😀
And now… Pretty pictures!
In this episode of Element 270 Giles and Peter take a look at the most recent releases and announcements for Dystopian Wars, Dystopian Legions, Firestorm Armada, Firestorm Planetfall and Halo…
We also mention the Spartan Survey…

Aquan’s are a race known for being sleek and fast and their Leviathan is no different. In my latest unboxing I carefully open and reveal the contents of this latest boxed set from Spartan Games.
Why carefully? Suffice to say it doesn’t belong to me…the answers are in the video.
The Odin Class Leviathan advances through the battlefield shrugging off all bar the most concerted attacks using a combination of heavy armour and overlapping shield technology. Armed with a powerful G-72 Legacy Laser, this Terran war machine is one of the most powerful vehicle killers in the Firestorm Galaxy – woe betide the enemy that presents its flank to this behemoth!
You can watch the unboxing video of this model here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V5QUnXJTBw
This model stands 12 centimetres tall, is comprised of 10 parts and is all resin. It is fantastically detailed and a breeze to paint. I highly recommend all Terran players get one of these – even if you aren’t fighting the Drin-losers!
The guys over at Fleet Signal have started a new Youtube series on how to play Planetfall.
Check out the first videos here.
Big thanks to the Fleet Signal team for starting this.
